AUBURN ? A limited number of Auburn football season tickets and mini-season tickets are currently on sale to the general public. Scott Carr, senior associate AD for external affairs, said the 2010 football season is a great time to become a season ticket holder.

Starting at 10 AM on Sunday, June 20, tickets for the Wichita Wild vs Bloomington Extreme playoff game will go on-sale via www.stage1tickets.com. The Wild will play the Bloomington Extreme on Saturday, June 26 at Hartman Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM.

Perseus annual golf tourney The Mystick Krewe of Perseus Slidell Carnival Club is sponsoring its second annual Golf Tournament Saturday at Royal Golf Club in Slidell. The entry fee is $65 per person with a gift being given at registration. The putting contest starts at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11 and a four-person scramble, which begins at noon.

Listeners were dumb-founded when they tuned in and heard Michael Pultz spieling about sports on the air. Not because he said anything outrageous. He didn't call on the Cavs to trade LeBron. Didn't predict a pennant for the Tribe. Didn't even claim to know who the Browns starting quarterback should be. He was just talking sports -- which was a shock to anyone who'd seen or heard or known Pultz.
